PAX44 Liberator — Den Bosch Edition is a tribute to the “Brothers in Arms” warrior code formed in 1944 between the Welsh and Dutch in the fight for liberation and freedom with a bold, commemorative blended whisky crafted for depth of aromas and tasteful dignity. A limited release of only 300 hand filled bottles, this edition blends Welsh single malt and blended grain with a Dutch cask strength blended grain, marrying heritage whisky character with the traditional Dutch aromatic intensity. Only 12 specially boxed bottles of the Liberation Day Edition have been produced for ceremonial presentation this year. These 12 collector’s items are not for sale.Whisky and chocolate is the signature of Pax44. Crafted from a single cask of 18-year-old Canadian rye whisky, personally selected and gifted to Pax44 by the original shipper, the Liberation Day Edition offers a distinct profile. During Operation Market Garden in 1944 a German patrol trapped a group of paratroopers in a house in Oosterbeek. Instead of fighting they called a pax (truce) and exchanged Whiskey & Chocolade. To honour this moment PAX44 has created a flavoured expression called the Arnhem Edition.A premium, 3-8 year blend, triple distillered Irish whiskey. Imported into the Netherlands at cask strength 65% ABV and then reduced to 44%, subtly flavoured with cacoa extract and bottled.- Triple distilled for power and purity.
