The Kinsale Spirit Company embodies the essence of Kinsale, one of Ireland’s most dynamic and picturesque coastal towns.

As a bustling port celebrated for its culinary and beverage offerings, as well as its vibrant leisure activities, Kinsale’s proactive community spirit fuels our product inspiration. Tom O’Riordan, a Kinsale local, founded the Kinsale Spirit Company, drawing on this energy to create our award-winning brands. Starting with a small still in his kitchen, he and his sister Clodagh crafted small gin batches.

After experimenting with various botanicals, including some sourced locally, and over 60 trial batches, they perfected the distinctive Kinsale Gin recipe. With the necessary licenses secured and the first batch of 100 bottles produced, production scaled up, marking the beginning of our success story. Recognizing the gin’s potential, Tom joined forces with local gastronomy experts Ernest Cantillon and Colin Ross. Today, the Kinsale Spirit Company exports its acclaimed brands to China, the USA, and other global markets.

Our venture into the Irish Whiskey market has begun with the smooth and mellow Battle of Kinsale Series, starting with Red Earl Irish Whiskey, and now featuring Great Earl Single Grain Irish Whiskey and Spanish Earl Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its core brand offerings and build a distillery in Kinsale, County Cork.
