On 30 November 2024, we lost our dearest friend, Michiel Norp. Throughout numerous occasions and events, Michiel, Dirk Jan, and other friends came together, with Michiel playing a pivotal role in the foundation and success of all these endeavors, now and for years to come.

With Michiel, we traveled the globe, nurturing relationships, spirits, and life stories. At just 57 years old, Michiel’s journey was tragically cut short.

On December 6th, in his beloved Groesbeek, family, friends, and colleagues gather(ed) to bid farewell to Michiel.

We are immensely grateful for Michiel’s friendship and companionship. As we mourn his passing, we honor a truly great friend: Sic Transit Gloria Mundi; thus passes the glory of the world.

This news is devastating, Michiel was a force of nature and spread knowledge and happiness with every encounter. So sad for his family and friends that he has passed away too young. My thoughts are also with you as you will shoulder great pain losing a dear friend and your words at the ceremony will be great comfort as they will come from your heart.

I am very sorry to hear this news. From my brief meeting with Michiel, I will remember him as an absolute gentleman. This is no doubt a tough time for you, and of course for his family. I will keep you all in my thoughts these coming days. My deepest condolences on the loss of your dear friend.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis. (“May his soul sit at God’s right hand”. This is an old Irish saying that we use when someone passes away – like our version of RIP).
