Dingle Gathering 2025 – October Roadtrip
An Irish Road Trip of Whiskeys, Celebration & Community

As the Dutch delegation set off for Dingle, we had a hunch about what was coming: just like our previous visits, we expected good weather—and once again, Ireland delivered. What followed was a perfect hat trick of sunny days filled with community spirit, coastal beauty, and exceptional whiskey.
Our group of four was invited by importer Trade In Spirits for a road trip across Ireland’s finest distilleries. Dingle Gathering was the highlight, where two milestone whiskeys awaited their grand uncorking: the long-anticipated ‘core’ Single Pot Still and the PX 10.
Dingle & Its People
Nestled in the far southwest of Ireland, Dingle boasts a unique maritime microclimate—ideal for maturing whiskey and soaking in the raw beauty of nature. Once a humble fishing village, Dingle has grown into a vibrant community with its own distinct traditions, including the legendary Wren Day and Wren Boy
This local celebration, held each December, is a spectacle of costumes, music, and even a bracing sea swim. It’s also the inspiration behind the “Lá an Dreoilin” bottling—an extraordinary release that completes the nine-part Celtic Wheel of the Year series. A must-see and a must-sip.
We took to the open waters of Dingle Bay aboard a RIB boat, spotting over 40 dolphins, seals, and dramatic sea cliffs. Later, an open-top bus ride over the Conor Pass offered breathtaking views—truly a “view to a thrill.”

Dingle Warehouse
Managed by Paddy and his dedicated team, Dingle’s warehouse is home to over 8,000 casks and serves as a vital logistics hub. We were granted rare access to sample future releases straight from the cask, alongside guests from the US, Europe, and beyond. Due to high demand, the group was split in two—testament to Dingle’s growing global reputation.
Dingle Gathering in the Distillery
Just outside town, in a lovingly restored old watermill, lies the heart of the operation: Dingle Distillery. Powered by its own deep well, the distillery showcases triple distillation in copper pot stills, traditional washbacks, and a hands-on approach that defines Irish craft.
It was here that everything came together: the Dingle community, the founding team, and guests from around the world. A festive gathering after hours brought the experience full circle—proof that Dingle is more than a distillery; it’s a family.

🥇 Gold Medals & Golden Moments
The festive atmosphere wasn’t just due to the regional celebrations. Dingle’s recent gold medal wins added an extra sparkle to the occasion. Tasting these award-winning spirits on their home turf was a privilege—and a reminder of the excellence that Irish whiskey continues to deliver.
