This vision of an Upper Bavarian whisky came to SLYRS founder Florian Stetter during a study trip to Scotland. He
realized it in the heart of the Bavarian Alps: with great attention to detail, the best Bavarian raw materials and a
gentle production process, a fruity-malty original is now created in the SLYRS Whisky Distillery in Neuhaus on Lake
Schliersee: the SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky.

Mountains at their doorstep, an idea in their minds: SLYRS Whisky, breathing the high mountain air of the Upper Bavarian Alps and maturing there to perfection. In 2014, SLYRS co-founder Anton Stetter, together with managing director and master distiller Hans Kemenater, put this plan into action. They transported approximate ly 50 specially selected whisky casks by ski lift to an altitude of 1501 meters, to the summit of Mount Stümpfling.
There, the unique SLYRS mountain warehouse is located. The SLYRS Mountain Edition matures within it for 5 years until its completion.
Pure mountain air and extreme temperature fluctuations of up to 60 degrees characterize this special storage location and are mirrored in the SLYRS treasure through a clear, intense taste profile and exceptional spiciness
